Anti-LAT1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LAT1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LAT gene, which encodes linker for activation of T cells. This protein is known to function in adaptive immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of LAT1 has a canonical amino acid length of 262 residues and a protein mass of 27.9 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and lymph node.
