Anti-RALDH(II) antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the RALDH(II) antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ALDH1A2 gene, which encodes aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A2. This protein is known to function in blood vessel development and cell proliferation, among other biological roles. The human version of RALDH(II) has a canonical amino acid length of 518 residues and a protein mass of 56.7 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DIH4 and RALDH2.
