Anti-KAT2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the KAT2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the AADAT gene, which encodes aminoadipate aminotransferase. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of KAT2 has a canonical amino acid length of 425 residues and a protein mass of 47.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and notably expressed in the kidney and liver. Other names for this target antigen include KATII and KYAT2. Indicated applications for KAT2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
