Anti-INGAP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the INGAP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the REG3A gene, which encodes regenerating family member 3 alpha. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell differentiation and the regulation of cell proliferation, among other biological roles. The human version of INGAP has a canonical amino acid length of 175 residues and a protein mass of 19.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the small intestine, skin, duodenum, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include HIP and HIP/PAP. Western Blot is the most common application for the INGAP antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
