Anti-GUC2A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GUC2A is a known alias name of the protein natriuretic peptide receptor 1, encoded by the NPR1 gene in humans. This 1061-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor for the atrial natriuretic peptide NPPA/ANP and the brain natriuretic peptide NPPB/BNP which are potent vasoactive hormones playing a key role in cardiovascular homeostasis. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for GUC2A include ANPRA and ANPa. Indicated applications for GUC2A antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
