Anti-ARF3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ADP ribosylation factor 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 181 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Arf protein family, ARF3 is reported to be a GTP-binding protein that functions as an allosteric activator of the cholera toxin catalytic subunit, an ADP-ribosyltransferase. Synonyms for this target antigen include small GTP binding protein. ARF3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ARF3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
