Anti-MKK7 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MKK7 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MAP2K7 gene, which encodes mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 7. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. The human version of MKK7 has a canonical amino acid length of 419 residues and a protein mass of 47.5 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include JNKK2, MAPKK7, and MEK. Some MKK7 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
