Anti-Atlastin 2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Atlastin 2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ATL2 gene, which encodes atlastin GTPase 2. This protein is known to function in Golgi organization and protein oligomerization, among other biological roles. The human version of Atlastin 2 has a canonical amino acid length of 583 residues and a protein mass of 66.2 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus, stomach, and appendix. This target antigen may also be known as atlastin-2.
