Anti-Prefoldin Subunit 6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PFDN6 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 129 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.6 kDa. A member of the Prefoldin subunit beta protein family, it is known to bind specifically to cytosolic chaperonin (c-CPN) and transfers target proteins to it. Other names for this target antigen include HKE2, KE-2, PFD6, HLA class II region expressed gene KE2, KE2 protein, and H2-KE2.
