Anti-CEACAM20 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein CEA cell adhesion molecule 20. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 596 amino acid residues and a mass of 65.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections and cell membrane. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the CEA protein family, CEACAM20 is known to be involved with signal transduction pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation and glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include GPAD9366, carcinoembryonic antigen related cell adhesion molecule 20, and carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 20. CEACAM20 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Western Blot are common applications for CEACAM20 antibodies.
