Anti-Calpain 7 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CAPN7 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 813 amino acid residues and a mass of 92.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Peptidase C2 protein family, it is known to be involved with proteolysis. Other names for this target antigen include calpain like protease, homolog of Aspergillus Nidulans PALB, palB homolog, and PALBH. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Calpain 7 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
