Anti-Glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene G6PC in humans. The gene may also be known as G6Pase, G6Pase-alpha, G6PT, glucose-6-phosphatase, catalytic subunit, G-6-Pase, and G6PC1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 40.5 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
