Anti-BCORL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein BCL6 corepressor like 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1785 amino acid residues and a mass of 190.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis and prostate. A member of the BCOR protein family, BCORL1 is known to be involved with chromatin organization and the regulation of transcription. The BCORL1 gene has been associated with the disease, Shukla-Vernon syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include BCL-6 corepressor-like protein 1 and BCoR-like protein 1. BCORL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the BCORL1 antibodies listed below. Flow Cytometry and Western Blot are also common applications.
