Anti-HFABP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HFABP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FABP3 gene, which encodes fatty acid binding protein 3. This protein is known to function in brown fat cell differentiation and cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of HFABP has a canonical amino acid length of 133 residues and a protein mass of 14.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the heart muscle and kidney. Other names for this target antigen include FABP11 and M-FABP. Western Blot is the most common application for the HFABP antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
