Anti-p47 phox antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p47 phox antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NCF1 gene, which encodes neutrophil cytosolic factor 1. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of p47 phox has a canonical amino acid length of 390 residues and a protein mass of 44.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, lymph node, lung, and bone marrow. Western Blot is the most common application for the p47 phox antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
