Anti-TMEM18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 140 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the TMEM18 protein family, TMEM18 is known to be involved with cell migration. TMEM18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TMEM18 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
