Anti-PKCD antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PKCD antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRKCD gene, which encodes protein kinase C delta. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of PKCD has a canonical amino acid length of 676 residues and a protein mass of 77.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include ALPS3 and CVID9. Western Blot is the most common application for the PKCD antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
