Anti-CCDC115 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coiled-coil domain containing 115. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 180 amino acid residues and a mass of 19.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER, lysosomes, and cytoplasmic vesicles. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is noted to be expressed throughout the brain. CCDC115 is reported to be an accessory component of the proton-transporting vacuolar (V)-ATPase protein pump involved in intracellular iron homeostasis. The CCDC115 gene has been associated with the disease, Congenital disorder of glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain-containing protein 115. CCDC115 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some CCDC115 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
