Anti-NEFA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NEFA is a known alias name of the protein nucleobindin 2, encoded by the NUCB2 gene in humans. This 420-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a calcium-binding protein, which may have a role in calcium homeostasis (By similarity). It is localized to the membrane, nucleus, ER, Golgi, cytoplasm, and is secreted of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the spleen, testis and normal stomach. Other synonyms for NEFA include HEL-S-109 and DNA-binding protein NEFA. Western Blot is the most common application for the NEFA antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
