Anti-ATC2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ATC2 is a known alias name of the protein corin, serine peptidase, encoded by the CORIN gene in humans. This 1042-amino acid residue protein is known to be a serine-type endopeptidase involved in atrial natriuretic peptide (NPPA) and brain natriuretic peptide (NPPB) processing. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the heart. The term CRN is another synonym for ATC2. Western Blot is the most common application for the ATC2 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
