Anti-HOXA5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein homeobox A5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 270 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the Antp homeobox protein family, HOXA5 is known to be involved with cell migration and lung development. Synonyms for this target antigen include HOX1.3, HOX1C, homeobox protein Hox-A5, homeo box 1C, homeobox protein HOXA5, homeobox protein Hox-1C, and HOX1. HOXA5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of HOXA5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
