Anti-CD217 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD217 is a known alias name of the protein interleukin 17 receptor A, encoded by the IL17RA gene in humans. This 866-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor for IL17A and IL17F, major effector cytokines of innate and adaptive immune system involved in antimicrobial host defense and maintenance of tissue integrity. It is localized to the cell membrane and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for CD217 include CANDF5 and CDw217. Western Blot is the most common application for the CD217 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
