Anti-ENO4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein enolase 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 625 amino acid residues and a mass of 68.5 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the nasopharynx, fallopian tube, endometrium, and bronchus. A member of the Enolase protein family, ENO4 is believed to be required for sperm motility and function. Post-translational modifications have been described, including protein cleavage. Synonyms for this target antigen include enolase family member 4, enolase-like protein ENO4, and 2-phospho-D-glycerate hydro-lyase. ENO4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the ENO4 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
