Anti-CPNE6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein copine 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 557 amino acid residues and a mass of 62 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is found to be widely expressed in the brain. A member of the Copine protein family, CPNE6 is known to be involved with cell differentiation and cytoskeleton organization. Synonyms for this target antigen include N-copine and copine VI (neuronal). CPNE6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some CPNE6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
