Anti-CFAP70 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 70. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1121 amino acid residues and a mass of 125.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections and cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis. A member of the CFAP70 protein family, CFAP70 is reported to be an axoneme-binding protein that plays a role in the regulation of ciliary motility and cilium length. The CFAP70 gene has been associated with the disease, Spermatogenic failure. Synonyms for this target antigen include tetratricopeptide repeat domain 18, tetratricopeptide repeat protein 18, tetratricopeptide repeat-containing protein (LOC118491), and TPR repeat protein 18. CFAP70 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These CFAP70 antibodies are widely used in Immunohistochemistry experiments, among other applications.
