Anti-ITFG2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein integrin alpha FG-GAP repeat containing 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 447 amino acid residues and a mass of 49.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the lysosomes. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. ITFG2 is known to be involved with carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and germinal center B cell differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include FG-GAP repeat containing 1, integrin-alpha FG-GAP repeat-containing protein 2, and KICSTOR complex protein ITFG2. ITFG2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ITFG2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
