Anti-HACL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein 2-hydroxyacyl-CoA lyase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 578 amino acid residues and a mass of 63.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the peroxisomes. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the TPP enzyme protein family, HACL1 is known to be involved with fatty acid metabolism. Synonyms for this target antigen include HPCL, HPCL2, PHYH2, 1600020H07Rik, 2-hydroxyphytanol-CoA lyase, and 2-HPCL. HACL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the HACL1 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
