Anti-Decapping mRNA 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene DCP2 in humans. The gene may also be known as NUDT20, m7GpppN-mRNA hydrolase, and DCP2 decapping enzyme homolog. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 48.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, yeast, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
