Anti-IKAROS antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IKAROS antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IKZF1 gene, which encodes IKAROS family zinc finger 1. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle and chromatin organization, among other biological roles. The human version of IKAROS has a canonical amino acid length of 519 residues and a protein mass of 57.5 kilodaltons, although 8 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, placenta, lymph node, and bone marrow. Other names for this target antigen include CVID13, Hs.54452, and IK1. Western Blot is the most common application for the IKAROS antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
