Anti-CX26 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CX26 antigen is another term for the human protein gap junction protein beta 2, encoded by the GJB2 gene. The protein is reported to be a structural component of gap junctions. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 226 residues and a mass of 26.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. The CX26 protein is a member of the Connexin protein family. Other alias names for CX26 include BAPS and DFNA3. Western Blot is the most common application for the CX26 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
