Anti-CEP295 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein centrosomal protein 295. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2601 amino acid residues and a mass of 295.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. Synonyms for this target antigen include centriolar protein CEP295, centrosomal protein 295kDa, and centrosomal protein of 295 kDa. CEP295 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CEP295 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunocytochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
