Anti-KDF1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein keratinocyte differentiation factor 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 398 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. KDF1 is reported to play a role in the regulation of the epidermis formation during early development. The KDF1 gene has been associated with the disease, Ectodermal dysplasia. Synonyms for this target antigen include RP11-344H11.3. KDF1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Kdf1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
