Anti-PHYHD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phytanoyl-CoA dioxygenase domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 291 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.4 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the PhyH protein family, PHYHD1 is reported to be a 2-oxoglutarate(2OG)-dependent dioxygenase that catalyzes the conversion of 2-oxoglutarate to succinate and CO(2) in an iron-dependent manner. Synonyms for this target antigen include phytanoyl-CoA dioxygenase domain-containing protein 1. PHYHD1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PHYHD1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
