Anti-BYSL antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein bystin like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 437 amino acid residues and a mass of 49.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Bystin protein family, BYSL is known to be required for processing of 20S pre-rRNA precursor and biogenesis of 40S ribosomal subunits. Synonyms for this target antigen include Enp1, by the ribosomal protein s6 gene, drosophila, homolog-like, and BYSTIN. BYSL gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of BYSL antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies.
