Anti-FBXO7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein F-box protein 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 522 amino acid residues and a mass of 58.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. FBXO7 is reported to be a substrate recognition component of a SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins and plays a role in several biological processes such as cell cycle, cell proliferation, or maintenance of chromosome stability. Synonyms for this target antigen include FBX07, FBX7, PARK15, PKPS, F-box only protein 7, and FBX. FBXO7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of FBXO7 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
