Anti-UNCX antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein UNC homeobox. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 531 amino acid residues and a mass of 53.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the Paired homeobox protein family, Uncx is a reported transcription factor involved in somitogenesis and neurogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include UNC homeobox protein, Unc4.1 homeobox, homeobox protein Uncx4.1, and homeobox protein unc-4 homolog. UNCX gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Uncx antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
