Anti-MAD1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MAD1 is a known alias name of the protein mitotic arrest deficient 1 like 1, encoded by the MAD1L1 gene in humans. This 718-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the spindle-assembly checkpoint that prevents the onset of anaphase until all chromosomes are properly aligned at the metaphase plate. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Western Blot is a widely used application for the MAD1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
