Anti-Actinin alpha 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ACTN1 in humans. The gene may also be known as BDPLT15, alpha-actinin-1, and F-actin cross-linking protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 103.1 kilodaltons in mass. The ACTN1 marker can be used to identify Mature CD8 Single-Positive Thymocytes and CD8?a Thymocytes.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
