Anti-PRRT3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein proline rich transmembrane protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 981 amino acid residues and a mass of 102.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the kidney, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, caudate, and adrenal gland. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. PRRT3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunocytochemistry is the most common application for the PRRT3 antibodies listed below. Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
