Anti-LRRC18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein leucine rich repeat containing 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 261 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis, nasopharynx, fallopian tube, and bronchus. LRRC18 is suspected to be involved in the regulation of spermatogenesis and sperm maturation. Synonyms for this target antigen include leucine-rich repeat-containing protein 18. LRRC18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the LRRC18 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
