Anti-FAM98B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 98 member B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 433 amino acid residues and a mass of 45.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is noted to be expressed strongly in colorectal cancer tissues compared to wild-type colon samples. A member of the FAM98 protein family, FAM98B is known to be involved with the regulation of cell proliferation and the regulation of gene expression. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein FAM98B. FAM98B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of FAM98B antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
