Anti-Fascin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Fascin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FSCN1 gene, which encodes fascin actin-bundling protein 1. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and cell migration, among other biological roles. The human version of Fascin has a canonical amino acid length of 493 residues and a protein mass of 54.5 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the breast and caudate. Other names for this target antigen include FAN1, HSN, and SNL. Some Fascin antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
