Anti-ZSCAN18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein zinc finger and SCAN domain containing 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 510 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, ZSCAN18 is suspected to be involved in transcriptional regulation. Synonyms for this target antigen include zinc finger and SCAN domain-containing protein 18 and zinc finger protein 447. ZSCAN18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the ZSCAN18 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
