Anti-CD116 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene CSF2RA, or 'colony stimulating factor 2 receptor alpha subunit' in humans. The 400-amino acid protein is a member of the Type I cytokine receptor family, Type 5 subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated and secreted. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
