Anti-MRPL10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L10. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 261 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL10 protein family, MRPL10 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation and protein translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include 39S ribosomal protein L8, mitochondrial, L8mt, mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit protein uL10m, and 39S ribosomal protein L10, mitochondrial. MRPL10 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MRPL10 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
