Anti-WDR53 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein WD repeat domain 53. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 358 amino acid residues and a mass of 39 kDa. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus, thyroid gland, and appendix. It is a member of the WD repeat WDR53 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include WD repeat-containing protein 53 and WD domain, G-beta repeat-containing protein. WDR53 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some WDR53 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for these antibodies.
