Anti-TMED1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane p24 trafficking protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 227 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER, Golgi, and cell membrane. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the EMP24/GP25L protein family, TMED1 is suspected to have a role in vesicular protein trafficking, mainly in the early secretory pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include Il1rl1l, Tp24, p24g1, transmembrane emp24 domain-containing protein 1, IL1RL1-binding protein, and IL1RL1LG. TMED1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some TMED1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Flow Cytometry is also a common application.
