Anti-TCP1 delta antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TCP1 delta is a known alias name of the protein chaperonin containing TCP1 subunit 4, encoded by the CCT4 gene in humans. This 539-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the chaperonin-containing T-complex (TRiC), a molecular chaperone complex that assists the folding of proteins upon ATP hydrolysis. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the breast, urinary bladder, and adrenal gland.
