Anti-Arginyltransferase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ATE1 in humans. The gene may also be known as arginyl-tRNA--protein transferase 1, and R-transferase 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 59.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, yeast, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
