Anti-RUNDC3A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RUN domain containing 3A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 446 amino acid residues and a mass of 49.7 kDa. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the hippocampus and testis. A member of the RUNDC3 protein family, Rundc3a is believed to act as an effector of RAP2A in neuronal cells. Synonyms for this target antigen include RPIP-8, RPIP8, RUN domain-containing protein 3A, RaP2 interacting protein 8, rap2-interacting protein 8, and RAP2IP. RUNDC3A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Rundc3a antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
